Q.

#AskTheExpert why my months old kid keep rubbing her ears.. it's been from 5 months... We even consulted on ENT he said that due to cold and gave maxtra syrup we used it for a week but still she is rubbing her ears continuously.

A. rubbing of ear as well as itching of the ears is totally normal. if the child is not crying do not worry about it and to decrease the itching sensation you can apply coconut oil over it. do not use earbuuds to clean the internal ear cavity. external ear can be cleaned with the help of clean cotton cloth. treatment is given only if the child is crying with pain while itching. for pain you can give paracetamol
