A. hey Ear scratching/eye, nose rubbing is very common at this age group.  It may be due to allergy, I infection, or may be a signs of teething.   If your baby is casually scratching or rubbing at his ear/rubbing eyes,  but seems happy and playful, with only intermittent bouts of fussiness,  then the problem may simply be teething -- a reaction to the tingling of the tooth nerves. A. Hi Mom, It is normal and usually isn't anything to be concerned about. It might be a sign that your child is tried or that your child's ears are blocked with wax. If you think the ear hitting or pulling might be because of an ear infection, take your child to the doctor.
