Q.

#AskTheExpert My son (aged 39 months) is mildly asthmatic. In Singapore we use 0.5 ml of Ventolin 0.5% + 2 ml of Sodium Chloride 0.9% via a nebuliser whenever he has a cough or cold. We are visiting Mumbai and cannot find Ventolin. Instead, the chemist has suggested Asthalin Respules. Can I give my son 1 Asthalin Respules in case he has a cold? And does it have to be mixed with anything else? Thanks

A. yes these are fine dri. Running nose and cold cough may be a sign of any viral infection . May be due to seasonal changes . Just steam as a home remedy along with montair lc and ascoril for cough and cold may be used .
