#AskTheExpert my daughter is of 27 months. she don't speak yet. only she says Mama, ba, bhai depending on her mood. she calls bhai everything like ball ballon etc. sometimes she understands our commands but sometimes not responds when I call her name I much very much worried.

Regarding Speech Baby usually start mono syllable by 6 to 7 months of age then by syllable words come by 9 to 10 months of age then by 12 to 14 months of age baby say two to three words followed by jargon speech at 15-16 months . child can start saying simple sentences by two years of age . just make the child comfortable and do more interacvftion with the child so that he can learn to speak sengtences properly. if the speech does not comes even by three years of age you need to consult your doctor for a proper assessment of the child .
