#AskTheExpert My daughter got a cold on last Friday. we gave her steam, nasal drops, lemon and honey etc. we did a normal saline nebulization also. she had a fever on Saturday and we gave kids parecetamol syrup 4 ML twice that day. from Sunday she was fine. now she is almost ok. she coughs once in a while. not too frequently. we had planned a vacation in munnar this weekend. temp at Cochin where we stay is between 24-32. in munnar it's between 14-24 °c.is it ok to travel to a cold place post cold. she is 13kg. 100 cm height

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it can be allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.
steam inhalation will be bgeneficial in both the cases alcdong with decongestant medicine like wikoryl, alex cold
In viral illness there can be cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration .

Nihita mittalMom of 4 children3 years agoA. good morning if your baby has also recently suffered from cough cold fever I would definitely recommend it possible you should avoid the trip however if it is completely unavoidable then just take the necessary precautions
