Q.

#asktheexpert my baby sucks her fingers and doctor said that's normal. they feel secured when they suck finger and not to intervene. she will stop by herself. now she started grabbing and holding things. immediately she wants to lick them. she either sucks fingers or anything that is accessible. cloths, toys, others hands. i want her to have fun with toys but because of this habit i don't hand them to her. people tell it's okay to lick toys. but I'm not able to be okay. what do I do.

A. Hello dear parent! Check if your baby is teething. Gently press your child’s gums with a soft cotton cloth dipped in cold water to reduce teething discomfort. Use Babyhug teethers. Consult your doctor for evaluation and advice
