#AskTheExpert My baby is suffering from fever abd cold.. Calpol 100 or calpol 250 which one will be given and how much???

A. Hello, your baby boy is 12 months old and if he is having a fever less than 100 degrees then don’t give him any medicine but otherwise syrup calpol 120 mg 2 ml at every 6/8 hours

A. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorazdnt bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
