Q.

My son is having fever from yesterday. 100 fever. his weight is 10.5 kg and age 28 months. i have calpol 100 and calpol 250. how much dose should I give.

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body and only a temperature above 99F is considered as fever, so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment this dose can be again. repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever,but if it continues further you should consult your doctor for prroper treatment.
