#asktheexpert hi my baby is 13th days old. When can I start with massage and shower also is massage from professional compulsory or can I do her massage?

Dear mom ....once the umblical cord of the baby falls off and gets dry u can start showering...if it did not fall u can still massage him and have him a sping bath with soft cotton cloth......no need for any expert....we as mothers are best to massage our babies gently massage him with olive oil or vergin coconut oil or any other oil of your choice.....Massaging should be completely for muscpe relaxation no need to have aggrisive harsh massages....mothers milk will itslef make your baby stong

you can go for any type of oil which is not causing allergy on the skin for mdassage.
it can be carried out 3 or 4 times per day if required. you have to to prevent temperature variations when you uncloth and cloth the child.
it can be done during any time of the day according to the comfort level of the child and the mother
good massage will help in decreasing the colic pain as well as will improve the digestion of the food and also will help in giving proper sleep to the child
