#AskTheExpert Hi doctor, hat is the best solution to cure the cold for 4.5 yrs old ... she having for the past 2 weeks.. she doesn't have fever or anything but just cold.. am already make her blow out some phlegm from nose whenever possible but still she has lot and coughing now and then.. she doesn't know to spit it out while coughing.. am already giving syrups also

ExpertDr. Swapnil SaxenaAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. ok, so Baby is having cold cough and fever then it can be due to viral infection you need to give him steam inhalation indirectly to times in the day and also keep him well hydrated .consult with your doctor near by who will examine the baby and guide you with appropriate medications in their proper dose.
Viral fever can last from 3-5 days so you need to to give the prescribed medications for this duration at least and if it is persistent beyond you need to go for the investigations
