#AsktheExpert Hello, My daughter is about to complete 6 months. Which semi-solids or solids should I start with? Also, can we use salt & sugar in her food or not? If yes, then in how much quantity? Please suggest.

A. Sugar and salt can be introduced little later around 7 months and start with liquids like rice kanji dal soup mashed banana steamed apple pear chikoo and keep feeding your baby

A. Hello mom Once your baby turned six months old then you can start giving solids and water to your baby. In starting few days give everything in a fluids form like Dal Ka Paani, rice water, vegetable soup, fruit’s puree. And with the time you can increase the food item in babies regular diet plan. In starting there is no need to use sugar and salt because baby can easily except natural taste.
