Q.

#asktheexpert baby girl is going to complete 5 months in 5 days. she sleeps for atleast 5-6 hrs at a stretch at night sometimes. is it okay now to not wake her up every 4 hours to feed? also, we will introduce her to solids next month once she completes 6 months. which meal should we do it in? lunch or dinner?

A. Hi Yes you should not wake up your child for four hours or six hours even if your child is the sleeping at a stretch for eight hours to give a feed is completely normal and whenever you introduce a semisolid food to the child try to give it at the lunchtime initially then after 10 days or 15 days you can start introducing dinner as well so slowly gradually introduced three meals to the child
