Offer her favourite foods along with the new foods that you want to introduce in her diet. Offer small portions of food and give more only when she asks. Let her help you with meal preparations such as setting up the table before mealtime or choosing the vegetables to be used in the curry. Offer colourful foods in colourful plates and bowls and cut foods into different shapes to attract the attention of the kid. Praise her even if she manages to finish a small part of her meal. Do not force her to eat. Offer healthy snacks such as steamed vegetable wedges or cut fruits. Offer fruit milkshakes and fruit smoothies and add dry fruits powder to them. Avoid distractions during meal times such as TV, laptop, mobile phones and tablets. The family should eat together so that the kid learns good and healthy eating habits from parents and siblings.
