Sawdust Pudding / Serradura

‘Serradura’ aka sawdust pudding is a Portuguese sweet delight. It comprises of alternate layers of powdered tea biscuits and flavoured cream. The powdered tea biscuits give it sawdust like look, which is where the dish derives its name from. The best thing about this dessert is that it looks great and needs just a couple of ingredients to make it. For best taste, it should be made at least 4-5 hours prior to serving; overnight is even better.
