Saffron Yoghurt Fruit Trifle
Kids are often very fussy about eating fruits. Give them a bowl of chopped fruits to eat and they will turn up their nose. But, with this ‘Saffron Yoghurt Fruit Trifle’, making them eat their daily share of fruits can be a tad bit easier. Traditionally, trifles are laced with cream, but we have gone the healthier route by using hung curd. Hop on to the recipe now!

Ingredients
For the Saffron Yogurt
- 200 ml hung yogurt
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 cardamom pods, powdered
- 7-8 saffron strands soaked in 1 tsp milk
Fruits as needed
- 3-4 tbsp pomegranate seeds
- 3-4 tbsp chopped black grapes
- 3-4 tbsp sliced kiwi
Method
Step 1
For the saffron yoghurt, mix all the ingredients listed for it and whisk till it is smooth and fluffy. Taste for sugar, add more if needed.
Step 2
In order to make the trifle, add a layer of the prepared saffron yogurt followed by a layer or two of the fruits. Add another layer of the yogurt and top up with a fruit layer. Garnish as desired.
Step 3
Keep it in the refrigerator until needed. Serve chilled.
