It’s All About Prayers, Patience and Positivity!
My husband and I have been married for six years. I developed PCOD after only a few months of marriage. That was the reason I was having trouble conceiving at the time. After a lot of medication and appropriate care, everything returned to normal, and we began trying for a baby again. With the guidance of a gynaecologist, we began treatment and tests. In 2018, I became pregnant but had a miscarriage due to foetal bicardia (no heartbeat of the baby). After that, things became much more challenging, but we never gave up hope. We continued to pray and strive. We discovered a blockage and a polyp in my ovary in 2020. Hysteroscopy and laparoscopy procedures were performed.
Everything worked out in the end. After a year of trying after surgery, by God’s mercy, I became pregnant in 2021, and we welcomed our baby in November of that year. These years of trying and failing were highly stressful and emotionally draining. But only these few things kept us going: prayers, patience, positivity, and your partner’s support. My spouse and I stood by each other through thick and thin whenever one of us was down for any reason.
Infertility does not devalue any of us as women. All we have to do now is be positive in every way. Consult your gynaecologist and be honest with them about your concerns. Don’t forget to think about what they’ve said. Keep track of your ovulation days and menstrual cycle. When you try on ovulation days, you have a better chance of getting pregnant. Begin taking the folic acid and vitamin supplements that your doctor has prescribed. Maintain a balanced and nutritious diet. Every day is different. When you’re having a bad day, talking it out with someone close to you can help a lot. Finally, all I can advise is to stay positive and keep trying. When the time is right, you will undoubtedly succeed.
