Carrot and Apple Smoothie
This is a recipe that can be put together within minutes, but what if you can’t get your pre-teen to down it? Don’t fret, here’s a quick fix. Involve him in the preparation process – the fact that he has made the smoothie is enough encouragement for him to gulp it down. Is there even a need to mention the health benefits of carrot and apple combined?
Serves | Preparation Time | Cooking Time |
2 People | 10-15 Minutes | 0 Minutes |
Ingredients
- 2 large carrots, washed and peeled
- 1/2 lemon, peeled
- few leafs such as red lettuce or carrot greens
- 100 g yogurt
- 1 apple
Method
Step 1
Throw in all the ingredients in the juicer. Run it for 1-2 minutes. Drink immediately. Strain the juice if you want a smooth smoothie; however it is not recommended, since straining eliminates the fiber content completely.
Step 2
It is recommended that you peel the carrots otherwise it tastes a little bitter. If you want the recipe to be extra sweet, add one more apple.
