This condition, called neonatal breast swelling, is common in newborns and infants and may last for a few months. It usually resolves on its own without any treatment. However, if the bump is red, painful, growing in size, or has discharge, it could indicate an infection or cyst, and you should consult a pediatrician. Avoid squeezing or massaging the area, as this may worsen the condition.
