for Healthy weight gain,take starch rich food like boiled potatoes, sweet potatoes, rice more
it is better to take energy dense fruits like apple banana papaya etc for it.
add dairy products like paneer curd ghee milk etc in diet ,it is all you both can do .
one more thing for yourself,you can take soaked gram in small bowl quantity daily in morning .
maintain good hygiene.
