Q.

we are using pink salt (sendha namak) for our daily meal, is it suitable for 4 and 10 year kids also?Or they should be given white salt? Please advise

A. you can add pink salt or iodise salt on daily basis. Give well balanced diet including all five healthy food groups: vegetables, fruit, grain foods, dairy and protein. Avoid foods high in salt, saturated fat and sugar, foods low in fibre and nutrients, and drinks with caffeine or lots of sugar.

A. The adequate intake of sodium for toddlers is 1000 milligrams, so at that point we recommend salting your toddler's food as you would your own to integrate them into the family meal. We love sea salt and Himalayan pink sea salt for its flavors and trace mineral content.
