Q.
she is 14+ months and she is from last 3 months having cold on regular basis...and due to cold fever comes often.. from the best pediatrician her treatment is going on...but for 10-15 days she recovers then she gets cold ... why it is happening and what to do

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a prgcoper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to redugce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .
