Feed Hand Mashed food to your kid . Give him a normal food in small amount, in frequent intervals.
Identify when he is hungry enough, to feed your kid. gd

you can make this transition gradually
for that i would suggest to increase food consistency
encourage your child by serving food in differnet shape
for example
cut fruits in different shapes like star ,heart ,smiley etc and serve it to your child
make your child sit to take meal with whole family because children learn more from immitating their parents
