My son is 1.6 years old. he is having cold . please suggest me good medicine, which medicine can I gave . he can't sleep well in nights due to cold

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is donfe and according to the type of cough its prescribeds.
if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .
