My son got cold when he came in contact with another kid with cold. I am giving usual medicines. please suggest what other precautions should I take care and what all should be avoided during cold. During cold he had pomegranate (given by others in family) and curd which increased the cold and got light fever .

A. Cold is a viral illness and symptoms could be sneezing, running nose, cough sore throat, nasal congestion and fever. Treatment consists of antihistamines antipyretics analgesics and decongestants . steam inhalation would be beneficial . Medicidfnes like sinarest/wikoryl / Alex cold can be given in a proper dose according to the weight for 3-5 cdays as per the symptoms .
