my son 7 months old he is having cold frequently

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor ishr done and according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fevefr is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

give sunlight atleast 20 minutes a day
but please avoid cold and windy climate
keep your child head and ears covered well

babies don't have fully developed Immune system so they can get such infections frequently
but to avoid it ,I would suggest to give plenty of breastfeeds.
it contains antibodies which help your child to fight against such viral or bacterial Infections.
