Q.

My kid is 38 months, he was just recovered from Para Thyphoid and was normal for almost a week, but today again he had a temperature which is consistent; like fever occurs every 5 to 6 hours post PCM syrup dose. We are very much worried and concerned... any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory procesvs in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as thef first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever
