Q.

#asktheexpert my daughter is 20 months old. Last month she got her measles, which lasted for a week. Her appetite went really down, again in between she had recovered for a week but again she got fever for a week and her appetite went down again. I’m so confused because she has been so fussy when it comes to her eating habits.

A. it is very common that during the disease process the child will have loss of appetite as well as after the disease the child will have decreased appetite for food and this will last for at least one week. you have to provide plenty of water to drinxk and you can give food rich in fluids as well as juice extracted from fruits which will help in improving the appetite. if if the child is having nutritional deficiency the doctor will add muxltivitamin supplements to increase the appetite.
