Q.

my daughter is 4.5months, i am still breastfeeding her and I intend to continue for atleast one more year. Is it safe / recommended for me to take the COVID19 vaccine ? will it affect my baby in anyway? if i can take the vaccine then what precautions should I take?

A. there is no problem in taking the covid-19 vaccine at present still give breastfeeding to the baby even the government has given permission for lactating mothers to take the vaccines .

A. The NITI Aayog Member (Health) has stressed that there is no problem in breastfeeding after vaccination and it must not be halted "even for an hour". Healthcare experts have also said that a woman can get vaccinated against COVID-19 anytime after the delivery of her baby.
