My daughter is 2yrs11m old and she is having cold and caugh it's been 4 or 5 weeks I've tried different medication but I've seen no improvement, I've even consult a doctor she said it's not serious but we've seen no improvement and shes still having cold and caugh

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic andho expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor accorrding to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
