My daughter is 21 months old and she hardly speaks... she can say amma, papa, nana, nani, etc like one one word to address people but cannot frame meaningful words or sentences yet. Is it normal for her age? she understands mostly everything we tell or ask her.

A. good morning yes it is completely normal nothing to worry about it is only a matter of time you have to be patient and wait for sometime before you can expect the child to be able to communicate
