Q.

My daughter has completed 6 months on January 10, the doctor has asked her to give her water of lentils and rice water and I have been trying this for 2 days but she is not drinking at all but she drinks only formula milk.

A. it's fine, slowly will accept it well. just keep trying n keep offering. Baby should be seated in upright position for feeding.Let the baby decide the quantity. Do not force feed or distraction feed.

Q. #asktheexpert my kid had difficulty while peeing and passing motion and he was taking short feeds. when I took him to doctor he asked me to feed one hour once and suggested to give one spoon cerlac in morning and evening. And also asked me to give water after feeds. I have started giving water only 10 ml in the morning and 10 ml in the evening( started room January 3rd 2024). but not started cerlac till now because he was only 4 month old at that time. should I follow giving water, please advice me? I am afraid of water toxicity.
