Q.
My child is suffering from cold and cough....I had given stiff cold and monitair LC also from 3 days....there is no change in him...can I give salbutomal syrup???he is 3yrs old

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.
steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ vhatric 3/ sinarest.
As a part of viral illness there could bejg associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .
