my child is 4 yr she is eating wall color paint and mithi also so what should I suggest

A. This condition is called Pica. Pica is an eating disorder in which kids develop cravings for non food items like clay, cloth, sand, paint, chalk, glue, soap, ice, hair, paper, metal, talcum powder, starch, pebbles, rubber bands, shampoo etc. Iron deficiency, zinc, calcium deficiency may trigger specific cravings. Please consult with your doctor as soon as possible so that he can help you address the mineral or nutrient deficiencies through dietary changes
