A. If your baby has a cold and is struggling to breathe, use saline nasal drops to help clear their nasal passages, and a bulb syringe to gently suction mucus if needed. Keep the room humidified with a cool-mist humidifier and ensure your baby stays hydrated. Hold them in an elevated position while sleeping to ease breathing. If breathing difficulty worsens, your baby has a high fever, or shows signs of distress (such as flaring nostrils or bluish lips), seek immediate medical attention.
