Q.

My baby is 8 days old . Her bilirubin came as 11 today. Bilirubin ( T ) - 11.0 < Bilirubin (con) 1.3 and Bilirubin ( UNC) 9.7 > Could tou please suggest is this ok or to be hospitalised ?

A. its quite high. treatment depends upon conditions and sign and symptoms. give only breastmilk till completion of six months. consult your paediatrician for proper examination of the child and start treatment as advised

A. It’s On the higher side the normal range somewhere around 5 to 5.5 so could be viable for you to consult your paediatrician and if needed go for putting your child into phototherapy for about 24 to 48 hours and once the jaundice subside completely and it is well within the race and you can bring your child home after that
