Q.

My baby is 22 days old. She takes feed (breastfeed) only for 12-15min, and then goes off to sleep. I tried everything but she won’t wake up. Is it fine feeding for such short time? What I have started doing is burping her after the feed and then trying to feed her again for 5min post burping. Am i doing it right?

A. dear parent, some babies feed for shorter duration, so it's fine if your baby is feeding for 10-15 minutes. if baby is active, alert and passing urine more than 7 times in 24 hours then feeding is sufficient. Rather than feeding immediately after burping or feeding at a fixed time interval, it is best to feed your baby on demand that is whenever baby wants and how much baby wants. let baby guide the feeding process.
