Q.

My baby is 15 days old and still having latching issues. I'm using nipple sheilds but he refuses to drink without it, no matter how hungry he is. I also feel the milk supply is low, because whenever I pump for 30 minutes on both sides it's only upto 50 ml. How to increase milk flow? I prefer breastfeed but due to no milk at all in initial 1 - 5 days I had to go for formula. After 5th day of postpartum milk started coming that to only 20 - 30 ml. What should I do? How to bring him back to breastfeed and increase milk supply

A. Hello! The more your baby takes in your breastmilk directly, the better Milk supply. Include methi, roasted makhana, jeera and saunf in your daily diet. Consult a lactation specialist for further assistance
