Q.

my baby is 10 months old. Till now he does not try to get up and sit. when we make him sit ,he sits for long time. He does not even try to crawl. Do you see this a matter of concern? should we stop making him sit up? am scared if he is getting more dependable on us to make him sit up. so he does not try to sit on his own. please suggest

A. the child will be able to sit with support by age of 5-6 months without support by age of 7-8 months, able to crawl by 9-10 months and walk independently only after one year of age till then wait n watch at times certain babies may skip the milestone of crawling and will begin to stand with support and then without support and work independently thereafter which is considered as normal you should not worry. at times the milestones can get delayed or achieved early also.variation can be commonly seen in the particular age group according to the growth pattern of the baby.. but if it is delayed beyond the range then you should consult doctor to get your baby e examdiine once and for clearing the doubts.
