Q.
my baby is 10 months old now and his birth weight is 4.08 and upto he completed 4 months he was gaining 700-800 gms per month but from past 5 months he is not gaining weight at al 100 gms per month consulted pediatrician also but no use .am giving him 3 meal and one snack continued breastfeeding

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. it is important for you to know that the weight of the child depends upon the genetic patterns and by that pattern only the weight gain in child is seen.
it also depends upon the diet the child is taking.
so it is advisable that you should meet the doctor who will tell you whether there is anything to worry or not and whether the child requires any health supplements.
the child should be given different flavours and recipes made from cereals pulses vegetable milk and fruits daily in small amount.
you can add ghee groundnuts dryfruits in the diet and this will help in improving the weight of the child.

Sowmya MMom of 4 children3 years agoA. hello actually at this stage usually the weight of the baby will stay constant due to overall development as well as reaching the milestone so no need to worry at all if your baby is active and healthy the weight will stay constant for a few months
