Q.

#AskTheExpert my baby is 5 months and 10 days old. She is 8kg weight more and birth weight is 2.820. Is 8 kg correct weight? Because In the 1st 4 months she gained 1kg per month. But for the past 2 months she is gaining only 500-700 gms per month.. is this is less weight gain? Whether my milk supply shall be low

A. Dear mum, weight of 8 kg is a healthy weight for 5+ months old baby girl. A weight gain of 500-700 grams in a month is a normal weight gain. For healthy weight gain, continue to exclusively breastfeed till 6 months complete.
