Q.
My baby girl is 3months old and we will be hearing a sound frim her throat as if she has cold most of the times. But there will be no running nose or cold, just she utters like 'ghar ghar' sound. Pls let me know is that normal or need to visit doctor.

sudhassGuardian of a 2 yr 1 m old boy1 Year agoA. BESIDES COUGH AND COLD THERE IS THIS CONDITION CALLED TRACHEOMALACIA, WHICH MEANS THE BONES JN THE WINDPIPE HAVEN'T DEVELOPED FULLY, WHICH DURING BREATHING MIGHT PRODUCE THE NOISE YOU DESCRIBED.
BUT THIS TOO CAN BE DONE ONLY AFTER THE CHEST EXAMINATION HAS VEEN DONE WITH STETHOSCOPE.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Cough along with Cold and fever most of the time is a viral illness or allergic and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration needs to be maintained. you can give steam inhalation which may be useful .
cough needs to be treated with medicine like anti allergic expectorant bronchodilators antitussives or cough suppresents medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough and need.
In severe cough nebulisation can be given where medicine directly ghgets dilivered in the respiratory tract.
Also if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose is 15 mg/ kg body weight and can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
Home remedies like Tulsi & ginger mix in honey can be tried for soothing.
