A. Whenever you cook vegetables, try and cook 2 or more options for your kid to choose from. This gives the kid the feeling of independence and he will feel free to choose. Add some punch and zing to the vegetables, using some dressing, seasonings and dips. Let him pick his own vegetables. Praise your kid even if he finishes only small amounts. Try out different textures for vegetables and find out which texture your kid likes most - carrot in the form of soup or raw carrots or stir fried carrots.

A. The parent should snack and eat vegetables for meals so that the kid learns good and healthy eating habits from parents. Make it a regular eating experience and do not threat or bribe the kid to make him finish his veggies. Present the vegetables in an appealing manner to grab your kid's attention. Carve roses out of a carrot or make a mouse from cucumber.
