POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 7 m old boy4 years agoA. Conjunctivitis in your newborn baby can be caused by a blocked tear duct or a bacterial or viral infection - this is known as conjunctivitis. If your child is experiencing any symptoms of discharge, redness or swelling of the eye/s, please contact your midwife, health visitor or GP.
