my 5 yrs 5 mth old girl has weak immunity..she catches cold too soon..if she goes 5 days school 6 th day she catch cold..plus she passes too much gas...

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done acrnd according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to redufce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

take sunbathing daily with her head and ears covered i
massaage her with Babyhug coconut oil
never over feed her
no use maida
keep her well hydrated
give her a spoon of lukewarm water every hour when she's awake
use simply purified water having tds higher than 350
