my 2 year old son has got this bump after he fell and his forehead hit the floor badly. Pediatrician advised to put ice pack...but he isn't even allowing me to do that. Can anyone please tell will it go by itself or any ointment can be used.

A. thanku sir, as of now he isn't showing any signs of vomits, fever, or uneasiness. I am giving little bit of 8ce pack in gaps as he is resisting. I am hoping it isn't serious.

A. Any Fall injury specially head injury needs to be assessed properly . In any such case certain symptoms needs to be checked like loss of consciousness reccurrent vomiting or any abnormal moment or convulsions . Such case needs immediate medical intervention as there could be some internal injury . Otherwise application of ice locally to reduce the swelling and pain can be done along with some analgesic like paracetamol. Recurrent fall injury for aa child should be avoided as it can lead to some chronic manifestations occasionally . Also teeth injury should be rule out in any such case which ics commonly associated and can be easily missed out most of the time .
