Q.
My 2.5 years daughter is suffering from fever, from last 3days and she is having cold and cough.i m very tensed . What to do

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. this can occur due to either allergy or infection and some times due to weather changes around the child.
for cold you can give syp maxtra 5 ml to the child 2 to 3 times per day. (helps in decreasing running nose)
(or any anti cold medicine)
try to prevent temperature variations around the child and give nasal saline drops every three hourly for nasal blockage and simple cough and cold. indirect steam can also be given.
for fever and pain give paracetamol
go for home remedies like tulsi ginger honey diluted with water combination and turmeric with milk at least 2 times per day.
give warm water to drink
if no improvement in 2 or 3 days then meet your doctor
you can continue to give paracetamol for fever and wait for three days and then meet the doctor

If The fever hasn’t subsided in three days then it could be due to some viral fever infection or if you could be a viral fever better get it checked go ahead with the further examination of the child to be more sure about it and maybe the doctors can advise your medicines accordingly for that
