Q.
my 12 month old son has constipation. I have given him papaya , glucose & warm water. but it doesn't seem to help much. pls suggest #AskTheExpert

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. Your child is having constipation for which kindly give plenty of water to drink and fibre diet made from cereals pulses vegetables and fruits.
Changes in diet has to be made
Specially give papaya, banana, oats, fennel seeds water pear, prune, pineapple, resins, plum as it will help in decreasing constipation.
Even after that the problem continues kindly meet your doctor for constipation medicine.
it is impordtant for you to know that the problem of constipation will improve with increasing age of the child.
You may increase or decrease the dosage of constipation medicine if needed according to the consistency of the stool.

Take sunbathing daily with her head and ears covered in the morning
massage her with Babyhug massage oil dl
don't over feed or force feed
don't use demineralized water and keep giving her a spoon of lukewarm water
