POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy11 months agoA. For a 1.4-month-old baby suffering from skin allergy, here are some steps you can take:
1. Identify Triggers: Try to determine if any specific foods, fabrics, soaps, or detergents might be causing the allergy.
2. Gentle Cleansing: Use mild, fragrance-free soap and avoid hot baths. Pat the skin dry gently instead of rubbing.
3. Moisturize: Apply a hypoallergenic moisturizer regularly to keep the skin hydrated. Look for products specifically designed for babies.
4. Avoid Scratching: Keep your baby’s nails short to prevent scratching. You can use mittens to protect their skin.
5. Consult a Pediatrician: If the allergy persists or worsens, consult your pediatrician. They may recommend antihistamines or a topical treatment suitable for your baby.
6. Monitor Symptoms: Keep track of any changes in symptoms or new reactions, and share this information with the doctor.
Always consult a healthcare professional for personalized advice.
