you should keep your child hydrated.
give indirect steam which is best to cure coughing.
you can try heat fomentation .
for that ,take a clean Cotton clothe.
grate an onion on it
make pouch of it
heat the tava , place pouch on it for few seconds then Check with your hands first the pouch should not be too hot then gently Pat it on your child chest and back,sole
