Q.

I'm 5months pregnant had my anamoly scan yesterday. in scanning found out that baby has single umblical artery other than that everything is normal.. is it a serious problem.

A. Prenatal management of a single umbilical artery cord includes: thorough antenatal scan and fetal echocardiogram. consider chromosome analysis Don't get stressed out for that and just have regular follow up

A. Your baby is likely to be fine. Having only one artery in the umbilical cord, called a single umbilical artery (SUA), shouldn't affect their health. Usually, an umbilical cord has two arteries, along with a single vein, making a total of three vessels.
